the Blazer. Originally intended for men; then in the 1900s, it integrated into women’s wardrobe, now a classic basic for every woman. The blazer has seen yet another slight change, a metamorphosis, if you will. Done by the one and only Alexander Wang, the blazer went from professional to demurely sexy and wholly provocative. From the front, it seems to be a rather normal version of the ever-loved blazer. With a quick toss of hair and a turn around, a peek-a-boo cut out at the back is revealed with three buttons that add a touch of adorability. That is, if you choose to wear only a bra, darlings.

Definitely a gorgeous piece. The pink with black is truly fantastic; femininity meets masculinity, however cliche it may be, is the best of juxtapositions. Imagine it over a pair of shiny leggings, like the disco pants a la American Apparel, with a constructed, black bra beneath. Or a black tank for more coverage. That, and a pair of sky high heels.

the Sexy White Dress. Form fitting and basic is the formula to making a truly beautiful piece. Of course Alexander Wang never underestimates the power of simplicity. The product? This goddess-like minidress. A simple dress needs not a long description.

Alexander Wang Strapless Dress; $795, Net-a-Porter

Alexander Wang Strapless Dress; $795, Net-a-Porter

the Bandage Dress. The Freakum Dress, as Beyonce would call it. Tight, formfitting, and incredibly sexy, it is the dress. Whether for a party or a night out, this strapless dress is sure to turn heads. If only $795 wasn’t that much, it would be mine. And I’d wear it with a fitted black blazer, sleeves rolled up, and strappy black heels with a platform. No jewelry, the only details necessary is the soft waves of the color blocks and the bandage effect.

Alexander Wang Blue Leather Bag; $730, Colette.fr

the Leather Cross Body Bag. I have no idea as to why I’m so attracted to this bag. Not love, but attraction. Perhaps it’s the denim blue color of the baked leather bag. Or the industrial feel of the silver hardware and snake chain. The pockets and zippers to add this element of “cuteness” (for lack of a better word), and the practicality of a small bag that carries a bit more than the essentials is highly appealing. It would look so good casually swung over the shoulder, the light blue popping just a bit from an LBD and a pair of flat boots. Perhaps a blue denim jacket would bring the entire look together.

Bisous,

La C.

OOOOh, that blazer! (God, I can’t wait for warm weather). The bandage dress is gorgeous too.
I have many items already, that are waiting in the wings, can’t wait to wear them. I miss my shoes the most, honestly. And miss the touch of the sun on my skin when I’m in a t-shirt, jeans, and bare feet. xo

I love the cheekiness of the cutout blazer! As for bandage dresses, I’m still on-the-fence about the Herve Leger revival. On a lean or petite frame they’d look stunning, and I don’t think I’m toned enough to pull it off. 😦

  29. 16 March 2009 5:40 pm

amazing how sexy that seemingly simple white dress is!

  30. 16 March 2009 6:06 pm
